A graduate of DePaul University in downtown Chicago with a degree in Accounting, Ryan Jonker has been immersed in the world of accounting and finance since his early start through high school internships in 2006. Under the mentorship of his father, Rob Jonker, he developed a strong and versatile foundation across personal and corporate taxation, mergers and acquisitions, estate and retirement planning, and financial forecasting and analysis. Expanding beyond traditional practice, Ryan co-founded the technology and philanthropy company ShoppingGives in 2013, where he served as Chief Financial Officer for a decade, guiding the organization through growth and eventual sale in 2023. His entrepreneurial achievements earned national recognition, including being named one of the “101 Top Founders in the US” by Best Startups Magazine in 2022. This experience provided him with deep, practical insight into equity financing, stock valuation, and complex financial reporting, further enhancing his advisory capabilities. Today, Ryan brings a forward-thinking approach to the profession, blending innovative technology with time-tested financial principles to serve clients across all stages of life—from those beginning their careers to those planning for and navigating retirement.
